Terms of Service

Last updated: September 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ClipQuery (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

ClipQuery lets you summarize YouTube videos, generate chapters and FAQs, view transcripts, ask questions about a single video, and ask one question across multiple videos at once, with results exportable as PDF. Some features are available via a browser bookmarklet or through a compatible AI desktop assistant.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your account secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Plans, Limits, and Payments

ClipQuery offers a free plan and paid plans with higher usage limits, described on our pricing page. Paid plans (monthly or annual) are billed once per period and do not renew automatically — access ends on the date shown at purchase, and you may start a new period any time. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor — we do not store your full card or bank details.

5. Acceptable Use

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by ClipQuery. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the summaries, notes, and exports you generate through the Service.

7. YouTube Content

ClipQuery accesses publicly available YouTube video data (metadata and transcripts) to provide its features. ClipQuery is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. All video content remains the property of its respective owners, and you are responsible for ensuring your use of it complies with YouTube's own Terms of Service and applicable copyright law.

8. AI-Generated Content

Summaries, answers, and other outputs are generated automatically based on video transcripts and may contain inaccuracies. They are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied on as professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any output will be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClipQuery is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Account Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon deletion, your account data is permanently removed, except where we're required to retain it by law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated Terms here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the update.
