ClipQuery is a web app (clipquery.com) that lets you ask questions about YouTube videos: it answers from what is actually said, shows the exact moment, and can compare what several videos say in one table. The Basic plan is free forever with no card, and ClipQuery shows no ads.
Without any tool: on a computer, open the video description (many cooks put the recipe, or a link to it, there), or choose Show transcript and search for words like cup, tablespoon or grams. It works when the cook says the amounts out loud, and not when they are only written on the screen.
A real example from our own test: a 4-minute paneer butter masala video gave the ingredients with their amounts (for example 300g of paneer, with a chip that opens 3:30, the moment the cook says it), the equipment and the steps.
The recipe comes from what the cook says or, for videos with almost no speech, from the text shown on screen (Read the screen, videos up to 30 minutes). A cook can say an amount differently from the written recipe, so use the time chips to check what matters. If a video is not a cooking video, the lens says so and does not count. You sign in with Google; ClipQuery keeps only your email address.

Yes, for videos up to 30 minutes. When the captions are only music, ClipQuery offers Read the screen: it watches the video, writes down the text it shows with times, and then makes the Recipe card from that.
Yes. Press PDF on the Recipe card to print it or save it as a PDF, or press Copy to paste it anywhere.
A recipe card is one of the five lenses. Basic includes 3 lenses a month, Pro 30, and Beast has no limit. A lens already made for the same video is free.
The Basic plan is free forever with no card, and ClipQuery shows no ads. Pro is $9 a month and Beast is $45 a month, each billed once for the period with no automatic renewal.
Made with gratitude for creators. Every video in ClipQuery plays in YouTube's own player, so you still watch the creator's real video, and every answer links back to the exact moment in it. ClipQuery helps you find what to watch, not replace it.
