How do I get a list of the places from a YouTube travel video?

Last updated: November 3, 2026
Short answerUse a tool that reads the video and lists what it mentions. In ClipQuery you paste the travel video link, open Lenses and press Checklist: for a travel guide it lists the places and things to do in the order the video gives them, with a practical note and a time chip for each.

What is ClipQuery?

ClipQuery is a web app (clipquery.com) that lets you ask questions about YouTube videos: it answers from what is actually said, shows the exact moment, and can compare what several videos say in one table. The Basic plan is free forever with no card, and ClipQuery shows no ads.

The simple way, with no tool

Without any tool: open Show transcript, look for place names, and note the time of each. For a long vlog you scroll a lot.

With ClipQuery, step by step

  1. Open ClipQuery and sign in with Google.
  2. Paste the travel video link, press Load, then Analyze.
  3. Open the Lenses tab and press Checklist.
  4. Read the places in order, tap a time chip to see that place in the video, and press PDF to take the list with you.

Example

A real example from our own test: a 12-minute Singapore travel guide became a list of places to visit with short practical notes (a tip or a price when the video gives one) and the time each place is mentioned.

Good to know

The list comes from what the video says. A place that is only shown, without being named, can be missed; for a video with almost no speech and names written on screen, ClipQuery can read the text on screen (videos up to 30 minutes). It repeats what the video says, so check prices and opening hours before you go. You sign in with Google; ClipQuery keeps only your email address.

Questions

Can I compare several travel videos?

Yes. Multi Video AI Ask answers one question across up to 10 videos in a table, for example which places each blogger recommends and where they disagree.

Does it check prices or opening hours?

No. It only repeats what the video says, so check prices and opening hours yourself before you go.

Can I print the list?

Yes. Press PDF on the Checklist to print it or save it, or press Copy to paste it into your notes.

Is it free?

The Basic plan is free forever with no card, and ClipQuery shows no ads. Pro is $9 a month and Beast is $45 a month, each billed once for the period with no automatic renewal.
